English Language Center, the language school attached to Humber College, can help you prepare for colleges and universities, and improve your English proficiency and communication skills for your career advancement. Relatively small-size classes at Humber College offers a homey learning environment.
In addition to English for Academic Purposes, it also offers a TESOL program for those who are aiming to become English teachers. It is a featured school not only for the high quality of teachers and lectures, but also for its location in a suburb that offers an calm and relaxing learning environment.
At English Language Centre, it is also possible to acquire the knowledge necessary for attending college through classes at computer laboratory and research exercises.
At the end of each term, there are graduation parties where teachers, students, all the staff gather together, compete for prizes, and organize potluck parties, to have opportunities to interact with students and teachers.

There are two main courses in English Language Center: English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and i-TESOL Progarm.
English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
There are 8 levels in English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and one terms lasts for 8 weeks. After completing each term you will receive a level test, and you will be exempted from English requirements to enroll in Humber College after completing level 8.
Based on the following seven topics, the lesson content is practical and you can learn English without getting bored.For example, in grammar classes, it is a very easy-to-understand class that explains why it will happen and how to apply the English law in concrete terms.
In addition, classes are one of the features that participates in the class style of the college department’s department beyond the ESL, such as making presentations on a regular basis.
At level 8 you can take one class of general education in our department.
